A Day in the Life of a CFISD Virtual Academy Student

CFISD Virtual Academy Student schedules include:

  • Pre-recorded videos and assignments students can complete at a time and place of their choosing
  • Each course includes one LIVE LESSON every other week in which students log on at a scheduled time to participate with their classmates and teacher. 
    • LIVE LESSONS typically occur on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
    • LIVE LESSONS are available twice each time they are offered- an am session and a pm session for each class - this is to provide the maximum amount of flexibility and opportunity for students with complex schedules to participate 
  • Students are invited to participate in Clubs online 
  • Students are invited to come up to our Campus and work on their coursework in a quiet distraction-free Study Hall. This also builds community as they can meet teachers and classmates in person
  • Students may be invited, or can request, to participate in Small Group support from their assigned teachers online
