Flex Learning (Blended/Part-Time online learning)
CFISD Flex Learning allows students to spend most of their day attending their home campus while taking up to two courses virtually. This option provides the flexibility to adjust schedules around extracurricular activities, part-time jobs, internships, or other personal commitments, without missing out on the in-person experience of their home campus. Flex Learning courses are designed with a combination of asynchronous work and structured teacher support, enabling students to stay on track academically while managing their unique schedules. Students remain fully connected to their campus community, participating in clubs, athletics, and school events, ensuring they continue to build relationships and engage in the rich experiences CFISD offers.
Hybrid Scheduling OptionĀ
Purpose: Offers flexibility for students balancing extracurriculars, jobs, or advanced coursework
- Students spend the majority of their day at their brick-and-mortar CFISD home campus
- Students complete 1–2 classes online asynchronously (at a time of their choosing)
- Students can arrive late or leave early from their high school campus and complete their online course(s) at the time of their choosing OR
- Students could choose to stay on campus for their online course and attend a supervised study hall on campus to complete their online course
