Technology Readiness

Students enrolled in CFISD Virtual Pathways will use their district-issued Chromebook to access all coursework through Schoology and other approved digital tools.

A reliable high-speed internet connection is required for participation in online courses, including accessing lessons, submitting assignments, and joining virtual meetings.

Tech Support & Troubleshooting

CFISD Virtual Pathways students have access to dedicated technical support to ensure a smooth online learning experience. For help with your district-issued Chromebook, Schoology login, or other course-related technology, students and families can contact the CFISD Virtual Pathways technician. Support is available for troubleshooting, guidance on digital tools, and assistance with internet connectivity issues.

What is a Learning Management System?

A learning management system (LMS) is an online platform where students access all components of their virtual courses. Through the LMS, students can view lessons and resources, participate in discussions, submit assignments, take assessments, and communicate with their teachers. CFISD uses Schoology as its learning management system. Schoology provides an organized, user-friendly environment that supports interactive and engaging online learning.

How does a student learn to use Schoology?

Each CFISD Virtual Pathways course includes an introductory module with helpful information and tutorials on how to navigate Schoology, submit work, and access course tools. In addition, students can use the Schoology Help Center at any time for step-by-step guides and troubleshooting support.

How does a student get to Schoology to access their course(s)?

Students log in to my.cfisd.net with their student login credentials and then click on Schoology. Courses will be located under Course Tab within Schoology.
